HiKE THE PUiG CAMPANA
From the coast you can see the giant limestone rock and the symbol of the Costa Blanca: The Puig Campana. With its 1408 meters altitude, it is the second highest peak in the province of Alicante. Depending on the weather, available time and other variants we will choose one route or another. In general I pick you up at the point of meeting with my van and we travel about 30 minutes to the mountain. We approach the north face of this mountain along good trails and roads, embarking on a gentle climb that passes the Collao del Llamp to the Collao Pouet, the real base of the mountain. From here, we climb a new, steep and rocky path, returning to our vehicle from the House of God. Hands are required to be used in some sections.

This trek is certainly possible for anyone with a good level of health and fitness, but we would not recommend it as a beginner’s trek. This trek is suited for those who are regular walkers (or runners) with good foot skills who don’t suffer vertigo. This is a stamina activity, you’re gonna get your heart pumped! But it’s worth the views from the summit. However your leader will back you up on some rocky sections.
A fairly tough walk to complete your stay in Aitana region- the summit of the Puig Campana (1,410m) with 360º panoramic views! Almost all of the peaks and ridges around may be seen. On the other side the Mediterranean stretches to the horizon. We approach the north face of this mountain along good trails and paths, embarking on a gentle climb passing the Collao del Llamp to the Collao Pouet, the actual base of the mountain. From here, we climb a new footpath, which is steep and rocky, on the north face of this spectacular peak, returning to our vehicle from the Casa de Dios. Scrambling is required on some sections. Transfer back to your hotel or apartment.
